“She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.” Proverbs 31:21 KJV
Today’s verse is simple, yet life-changing when you take the time to embed it into your spirit. The Proverbs 31 woman isn’t afraid for her household. Though winter is coming, she doesn’t allow the fear of what’s ahead to trouble her heart.
We’ve seen throughout these verses that the Proverbs 31 woman is consistent in her work and faithful in her role as a wife, mother, and most importantly, a woman of God. She remains in a posture of skillful preparation and diligent stewardship over the gifts God has entrusted to her. It’s no surprise that she’s unbothered by the cold or the coming season, this woman is prepared, covered, and anchored in faith.
Because she fears the Lord, she fears nothing else. It’s so important for us to live a life that is surrendered to Jesus. When we build our lives on the rock of christ we can have confidence! “In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence and his children have a refuge.” (Proverbs 14:26)
Our confidence isn’t rooted in circumstance but rather our Creator.

Heavenly Father,
I’m so grateful to have you. Thank you Lord for being my anchor. As I walk out the rest of this week Lord remind me of the confidance I have access to, through you. Reveal to me the areas that I need to surrender to you, and as I release them into your hands, may your peace and assurance fill my spirit. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
