“She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant.” Proverbs 31:22-24

We’ve read about all the skills and talents of the Proverbs 31 Woman, and now we get a glimpse of her outward appearance. Scripture tells us that she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Historically, purple represented royalty, so we can assume the Proverbs 31 Woman looked good! She was well-presented and carried herself with grace and dignity.

Then we read that her husband is known among the elders of the land. Here we see the effects of a highly esteemed woman, her husband is regarded with honor because of her!

The way her family is represented reminds me of our relationship with Jesus. When we walk closely with Him, every area of our life begins to change. Our attitudes, our presence, even the way we carry ourselves begins to reflect His glory. There should be a light that shines through us because of the One who lives in our hearts, and people around you should see it.

Let’s shift our focus to representing Christ well!

Heavenly Father,
