“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” Proverbs 31:25-26
Here, we get a glimpse into the character of the Proverbs 31 Woman. She wears strength and dignity, two spiritual qualities that are woven into her identity. Because she knows who she is and Whose she is, she walks in confidence, unshaken by what lies ahead. Her peace is rooted in her trust in God.
Notice how kindness rolls off her tongue. It’s natural for the Proverbs 31 Woman to share wisdom and kindness because that’s what fills her heart. We’re reminded to “Guard our hearts”, for everything we do flow from it, even the words we speak!
“The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45
Let’s take time today to be intentional about what we store in our hearts, knowing that whatever fills our hearts will eventually shape our words and actions.

Heavenly Father,
Today I ask that You would begin to reshape my heart. Lord, help me be more aware of the things that I allow to settle within me. Increase my sight so that I may not be deceived into letting wickedness enter my heart. Fill me with Your Word and Your truth, and may I be a vessel of Your goodness to Your people.
