Day Eight: Proverbs 31 Woman Deep Dive Devotional. Proverbs 31 Woman Guide
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.'” Proverbs 31:27-29
As I read these scriptures, I can’t help but to think, what a blessed house this woman must have. She truly values her role and understands the impact she has on her family. Not only does she set a gold standard for them, but she also covers them spiritually by instilling fruitful, Godly principles into their lives. There is no bread of idleness within her—she works with purpose, and she truly is special.
Her family recognizes and cherishes the woman of God she is. The scripture says her children calls her blessed, and her husband praises her. Jesus reminds us that those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. The Proverbs 31 woman lives from a place of humility. She is wise, valuable, and steadfast, yet she continues to pour into others with grace and love.
Reflection: Will you trust the Lord to exalt you as you live a live of humility?
- Verses mentioned: Proverbs 31:27-29, Matthew 23:12
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
I thank you for everything you have done in my life. Lord I ask that you bless my hands to not only change my life but also change those around me. Give me wisdom to steward my household and the desire to live a life of humility, that exalts you above everything.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
